Now:  A Panel Series on Climate Change and How  it Affects Our Lives

About

/ about THE Series:

Hi!

My name is Ellen and I'm a sophomore at San Mateo High School. I am organizing this panel series through the San Mateo Office of Sustainability and Office of Education's Youth Climate Ambassador program. I'm so glad that you are interested in attending them!

The panel series will focus on the ways that climate change affects and will continue to affect every aspect of our lives and what can be done to help slow and reduce its effects. It aims to include diverse and differing perspectives within each issue, allowing students to see the issue from multiple points of view. It is primarily targeted towards teens in the San Francisco Bay Area, but everyone is welcome and invited to attend. The topics of the panels will be Environmental Justice & Intersection Environmentalism, Future Impacts of Climate Change, Environmental Activism, and Careers in Climate Change.

After each panel, students who attended and fill out the post-panel survey will be entered in a raffle to win some environment-related prizes! Those who attend and fill out the post-panel surveys for all events will be entered into the raffle for the grand prize!

Sign up for these events on their website pages in order to receive their corresponding YouTube live and survey links!

I hope that you are able to attend and learn from these events!

-Ellen
